DormItem Hosted Classifieds
DormItem Hosted Classifieds is a tool to attract students to your portal, drawing attention to important news and announcements that otherwise may not be seen. DormItem offers students free listings, safer trading with Rapleaf buyer/seller feedback, and ‘microregional’ searching that shows listings from all colleges in your area.

Adding DormItem to your portal is FREE, and you get a custom branded version of DormItem to promote your school’s colors.
What we do:
- Build you an RSS feed to grab in one of your portlets
- Custom brand you a version of DormItem to match your school colors
- Students click through the portlet to the custom branded site
Babson College is the first college to add DormItem into the student facing portal. In the linked Word document is a screenshot of the Babson portlet with the DormItem feed and the Babson branded site. Babson’s portal retrieves classified listings from not just Babson, but other colleges in the local area as well (a.k.a. Microregional Searching).
